Information

The Library is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.  Additional library time is available one day a week after school from 3:00 p.m. until 5:20 p.m. or from 7:15 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. by arrangement with the library staff.

Books and "back issue" magazines circulate for a two week period and are renewable only if there are no holds placed on the materials.  Reference materials and "current" magazines are signed out according to need.

Students can access the Library from studyhalls or during class time when approved by the classroom teacher.

The Library Staff provides group and individual instruction to classes and students.  Classes are scheduled in the Library upon request of the classroom teacher.  All Freshmen receive a library orientation and have required assignments in the library from various subject areas.  The Library schedules over 350 classes a year for project research.

Currently, the Library has 25 networked computers for student use.  The purpose of the computers is to support education and research, consistent with the goals of the Wallenpaupack Area School District.  Recreational use of computers is not permitted (in accordance with the WASD AUP).
